FIRST Lego League Team #2751
We have had some incredible opportunities thanks to FIRST Lego League, and we are eager to share our experiences! We started this website to help kids who are interested in participating in FLL find a team or start one. Please feel free to contact us with any questions!

Hi from our 2021 GIA team!

WHAT IS FIRST LEGO LEAGUE??
Robot Design and PerformanceThe "hook" of FLL is the robot game. Using only LEGO-produced pieces, teams must build and program an EV3 robot to autonomously navigate a playing field. The bot interacts with various obstacles on the board, achieving as many points as possible in a limited time.

Core ValuesOne of the strengths of FIRST is the core values that guide the fun. With the goal to help students become gracious professionals, these core values are ever in and around FLL events. Teams must reflect on how they incorporate those values into their team practices, and are required to complete a teamwork challenge to showcase what they've learned. Lego Legion's favorite core value? Fun, of course!

ProjectThe real engineering "meat" is in the project. Team must identify a real-world problem related to that season's theme. After much reseach and discussion, they create an innovative and totally unique solution, develop that solution, and present it to professionals or community members who would benefit. They create a presentation and marketing plan, and field questions from judges during their tournament.

OutreachAnother unexpected benefit of FLL for our team has been the varied opportunities to represent the program to the community at large. Our team members have taught younger students to program, spoken before VIP guests, coached professional engineers, worked behind the scenes and helped to start new teams.
